Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address and store a one-way password hash. We also record account creation, update, and last-login timestamps. We use this information to authenticate your account and let signed-in users save calculator inputs and results. Creating an account is not consent to marketing email.
Calculator inputs and saved results
The numeric, date, health, financial, and other values you enter into calculators are processed in your browser using JavaScript. Without an account, those values are not saved and are lost when you leave or refresh the page.
When you are signed in and calculate a result, we store your latest inputs, main result, and supporting result values in your account so you can reopen them later from the My data page. You can delete individual saved calculator entries at any time. Signed-in users may also keep calculator inputs stored locally in the browser for convenience on return visits.
Calculator requests
If you submit a calculator request, we store the name, email address, calculator idea, description, and optional use-case details you provide so we can review the suggestion. Guests must accept the privacy policy before submitting a request.
Retention and deletion
Account records remain while the account is active. Saved calculator data and calculator requests are deleted when you remove them, when your account is deleted, or when you ask us to delete them. You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing hello@calculatorsdepot.com from the account address. Residual backup copies may remain for up to 30 days. Historical calculator-access lead records collected by an earlier version of the site are deleted within 24 months.
How we protect information
Account records are stored in a restricted database and submitted over HTTPS. Passwords are processed with PHP’s recommended one-way password-hashing algorithm and are never stored as plaintext. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we use access controls, prepared database queries, CSRF protection, and session ID rotation to reduce risk.
Standard server logs
Like most websites, hosting providers may keep temporary technical logs containing an IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp for security and reliability.
Cookies and analytics
We use a temporary, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in, protect forms against forged submissions, and apply basic abuse limits. It expires when the browsing session ends. We do not set advertising cookies or use behavioral analytics.
We also record anonymous calculator usage metrics: when someone clicks a calculator link and how long they stay on a calculator page. These metrics use a random identifier stored in the browser session and do not include calculator inputs, names, or email addresses.
External services
Our interface loads Tailwind CSS from its public content delivery network. That provider may receive standard request information such as your IP address.
